Oliva is one of our go-to freelance writers at Cornell’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Beyond her writing expertise, she’s also a lovely person and makes my job ten times easier when I need assignments assigned and completed in a short timeframe. In my role as Director of Communications, I’ve routinely relied on Olivia’s excellent storytelling skills, rapid response and turn-around time, and well-honed ability to communicate complex science and medical topics to broad audiences. From brief news items to long-form features, Oliva can do it all, and does it impeccably.
Olivia has been a tremendous asset for both the School of Operations Research and Information Engineering and the Systems Engineering Program at Cornell. She has been invaluable in our effort to increase our exposure online and in print, reaching out to our alumni and prospective students and employers. There hasn’t been an assignment that Olivia hasn’t nailed and I hope to continue using her as a freelance writer for years to come.
Olivia is a talented writer who always delivers the content I have in mind. Her ability to dive into background materials, be trusted with faculty and alumni sources, and deliver engaging copy that needs very little editing makes her one of my preferred writers to work with.
Olivia is a talented writer. I have come to know this as the editor of a Cornell University publication, for which Olivia has been writing for several years. When I assign pieces to Olivia, I know that she'll do a thorough job with her reporting, that she'll file her pieces on time, and that's she'll deliver engaging copy. As a trained anthropologist, Olivia takes special care in getting at the human element of every piece. More often than not, she gets the story behind the story. It is a pleasure to work with Olivia.
